Apex Mafia is a dance mentorship under Candace Trasoras, running multi day intensives out of Pensacola. I fly out twice a year, for A Very Mafia Christmas and for Mob Moves, and cover the whole event. Each day is cut into a recap that goes up while the dancers are still in the building, and the stills go back to the team as a library they can post from long after the room empties.
What Was Built
Event photography
Full coverage of every session, from the soloists to the whole room running choreography, edited and handed over as a finished set.
Cut on site
The edit happens between days in Florida, not three weeks later at a desk in Texas. Same night turnaround is the whole point of flying out.
Built for the feed
Vertical, paced for a phone, and cut to hold somebody who is already scrolling past. The format is the delivery, not an afterthought.
A library, not a highlight reel
Enough usable stills to carry the brand between events, so the feed does not go quiet for the six months until the next intensive.
The same shooter every time
Twice a year, same eye, same grade. The look stays consistent instead of resetting each time somebody new is hired locally.
